Vice-minister of Oil and Gas Ministry Mr. Mirzagaliyev’s visit
On January 21, 2014 Vice-minister of Oil and Gas Ministry Mirzagaliyev M., Director of Gas Industry Department Brekeshev S., representatives of “PSA” LLP made a visit to West Kazakhstan oblast to review the activities of “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating” b.v. and “Aksai Industrial Park” LLP. In the course of meeting, there were discussed issues concerning local content development, support of local producers, and expansion of business relationships with local companies.
The top priority in development of local content is promotion of competitiveness and development of Kazakhstani suppliers of goods and services, attraction of local companies on contract-based cooperation. This approach also has been approved by Republic of Kazakhstan’s government initiative to develop the capability of national industry and to increase the involvement of local companies in oil and gas projects.
Vice-Minister said, that today all necessary arrangements for development of Kazakhstani business put in place, as well as a state support for setting-up of new capacities: “Growth of local content is impossible without mutual cooperation. No way for one-sided pressing by authorities and negative defense reaction on the side of investors”, highlighted Vice-Minister.
Having a review more closely with activities of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating b.v. and Aksai Industrial Park, Vice-minister has recommended to look for the additional mutually beneficial opportunities for deepening of joint cooperation.
